Yes, privacy is a core design principle. Health data from Apple Watch (like heart rate) stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. FocusFit uses a local-first architecture with optional cloud backup via Firebase for syncing across devices. We don't sell your data, and we don't have access to your personal content, messages, or browsing history.

Can I cancel my FocusFit subscription anytime?

Yes. FocusFit offers a 14-day free trial so you can experience the full training system before committing. After that, you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID under Settings > Subscriptions. There are no cancellation fees, hidden charges, or contracts. Your subscription simply won't renew at the next billing cycle.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the FocusFit mobile application and related in-app services. It does not apply to third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Firebase.

Data Collection and Storage

FocusFit is designed with privacy-first principles:

All health data (heart rate and HRV trends) stays on your device
We never access, store, or transmit your health data to our servers
Focus session history and performance data remain local-only
We do not store session completion status, duration, or focus scores on our servers
We follow Apple's strict HealthKit privacy guidelines
You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iPhone Settings

We do not use HealthKit data for marketing, advertising, or third-party analytics.

Apple HealthKit Integration

FocusFit writes focus sessions to Apple Health as “Mindful Sessions.” This data remains on your device and is subject to Apple's Health app privacy policies.

We do not analyze HealthKit data for medical purposes
We do not read any other HealthKit categories beyond what is needed for focus signals
We do not share HealthKit data with third parties

Cloud Sync (Optional)

FocusFit uses Firebase for optional cloud sync functionality. If you sign in with an account:

Only basic profile information (account ID, subscription status, app settings) may be synced
Session history, performance, and focus scores are NEVER synced to the cloud
Health data (heart rate, HRV) is NEVER synced to the cloud
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
You can delete your cloud data at any time

AI Coaching

When generating personalized coaching insights, FocusFit may send brief session summaries (such as “session completed” or “session ended early”) to an AI provider.

This information does not include health data (heart rate or HRV)
Session summaries are not stored on our servers
Session summaries are not added to your cloud profile
Data is used only to generate the immediate coaching response
You can disable AI coaching at any time in app settings

Screen Time API (App Blocking)

FocusFit uses Apple's Screen Time API to enable optional App Blocking during focus sessions. When App Blocking is enabled:

We do not receive information about which apps you use
We do not receive your app usage duration, browsing history, or notifications
We cannot see which apps are blocked or opened
App block lists remain on your device and are handled entirely by iOS
We do not sync or store any Screen Time data
Screen Time permissions are optional and can be revoked anytime in iPhone Settings

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We collect anonymized usage analytics and crash reports to improve app stability and user experience. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for this purpose.

What we collect:

Device information (device model, iOS version, app version)
Feature usage events (e.g., session started, purchase completed)
App performance metrics (e.g., API response times)

Data Retention

Cloud-synced profile data is retained until you request deletion. Local-only data (including session history and health signals) is deleted when the app is removed from your device.

FocusFit is not intended for children under 13. Users aged 13–17 should use the app with parental guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
